Asli Ayurveda Balachaturbhadra Churna
Ayurveda recognises that children have developing digestion, delicate tissues and changing physiological needs. When Agni becomes disturbed and Kapha or Ama accumulates, a child may experience reduced appetite, digestive upset, loose stools, coughing, mucus or fever-associated weakness.
Balachaturbhadra Churna combines four carefully selected herbs traditionally used in Kaumarbhritya, the Ayurvedic branch of paediatric care. Musta and Ativisha support digestion, bowel balance and healthy temperature regulation, while Pippali and Karkatashringi provide respiratory and Kapha-balancing support.
Together, these four ingredients provide a concise classical approach to digestive, respiratory and seasonal wellness in children—only in a physician-determined dose.
The ASLI Difference
Prepared with authenticated Musta rhizome, Pippali fruit, Ativisha root and Karkatashringi galls in accordance with the applicable classical reference. Botanical identity, prescribed plant parts, foreign-matter limits, powder fineness, moisture, microbial parameters and blend uniformity are monitored at critical stages. Ativisha requires particularly stringent authentication to prevent substitution with other potentially toxic Aconitum species.
Key Ingredients
Musta
Traditionally valued for supporting digestion, appetite, bowel balance and comfortable recovery during childhood digestive disturbances.
Pippali
A warming herb traditionally used to support respiratory clearance, healthy appetite, digestion and the assimilation of accompanying ingredients.
Ativisha
Traditionally used in paediatric Ayurveda to support digestive balance, healthy stool consistency and recovery from fever-associated digestive weakness.
Karkatashringi
The plant gall traditionally valued for supporting cough relief, mucus balance, throat comfort and clear respiratory passages.
What It Does

Helps balance Kapha, Pitta and Vata according to the child’s presentation.
Supports the digestion and clearance of accumulated Ama.
Provides physician-guided support during common seasonal discomfort.
Helps maintain balanced mucus and clear respiratory passages.

Texture & Sensory
A fine to moderately fine brown herbal powder with bitter, pungent, astringent and mildly aromatic characteristics. Musta and Ativisha contribute bitter notes, while Pippali provides gentle warmth and Karkatashringi adds an astringent character.
The powder should remain dry, uniform and free-flowing. Consistent particle size is particularly important for uniform dispensing of small physician-prescribed paediatric quantities.
Suitable For
Children requiring physician-guided classical Ayurvedic support for digestive comfort, bowel balance, cough, mucus and recovery from seasonal disturbances.
It must not be administered to a child without a qualified Ayurvedic physician determining the appropriate dose, duration and Anupana. Adult household teaspoon measurements should never be used to estimate a child’s dose.
High or persistent fever, breathing difficulty, chest retractions, bluish lips, severe lethargy, repeated vomiting, blood in the stool, persistent diarrhoea, dehydration, reduced urination, seizures or inability to eat or drink requires prompt medical care.
The formulation should not replace oral rehydration, prescribed antibiotics, inhalers, diagnostic testing or hospital care where clinically necessary.
If honey is prescribed as an Anupana, it must never be given to a child below one year of age. Use in infants and very young children requires direct professional supervision.
