The Word
Asli is one of those words Bharat uses without needing to explain. It means real. Original. Untouched by imitation, unshaken by dilution. It is the word a grandmother uses when she tells you which ghee to buy, and the word a vaidya uses when he tells you which herb will actually work.
It is also the opposite of almost everything the wellness industry has become.
We did not choose the name because it sounded elegant in English. We chose it because it is a standard we can be held to — by our partners, by our regulators, and by anyone who cares to visit Taraori and watch us work. A brand name is usually a promise nobody checks. Ours is a claim that invites checking.

Anyone can print authentic on a carton. The word costs nothing.
So we ask what it should cost. If a product is asli, then the herb inside is the herb named on the label, in the quantity claimed, from a source we can trace. The oil is expressed, not reconstructed. The churna is milled to the mesh the formula demands, not the mesh the machine defaults to. The claim on the pack is one the licence actually permits.
That is the whole difficulty. Asli is not a feeling — it is a series of decisions, most of them expensive, taken quietly at the point where nobody is watching. We have built the company so those decisions are made the same way whether an inspector is present or not.
What ASLI Refuses
A vow is defined by what it excludes. Ours excludes:
Outsourced manufacture.
We make under our own licence, at our own facility in Taraori. Your product is not quietly passed to a third unit.
Undeclared substitution.
A cheaper botanical does not enter a formula because the market price of the real one moved.
Claims the licence does not carry.
If a benefit cannot be stated lawfully, we will tell you before it reaches artwork, not after.
Shortcuts that survive because nobody tests for them.
The absence of a test is not permission.
